Manufacturing Process

The production of Crushed Raw Coal Granular Activated Carbon begins with selecting high-quality raw coal with low ash and moisture content. The coal is crushed to achieve a consistent particle size, generally between 1-5 mm, and then dried to optimize moisture levels for activation.

Subsequently, the dried coal undergoes thermal activation in a rotary kiln or activation chamber, heated to temperatures ranging between 800°C and 1000°C, utilizing steam or carbon dioxide. This process enhances the pore structure and surface area, targeting an iodine value of approximately 950 mg/g.

After activation, the product is cooled to prevent the re-adsorption of contaminants. Further treatments, such as washing and sieving, ensure that the activated carbon meets stringent industry specifications for particle size distribution and adsorptive performance. Comprehensive quality control measures are integral to the production process, ensuring the final product adheres to the highest standards.
